A Tibetan proverb says that a Guru is like a fire – you get too close, you get burned, but if you stay too far away, you don’t get enough heat;

The question is whether or not we need a teacher or preacher or Guru to lead us to a spiritual life;

The answer is with each individual – some do and some don’t;

The important thing is that your life is moving in a spiritual direction;

There are many sources in order to do this other than an organization or teacher;

Reading spiritual books by great teachers, meditation, prayer, practicing a spiritual life, and many others;

A story goes that Jesus and Satan were walking down the street;

Jesus reached down and picked up an object;

Satan wanted to know what it was;

And Jesus said, “It’s the Truth;”

Satan said, “Give it to me, and I’ll organize it for you.”
