In order to know God, we have to exercise self-control;

We are like a rider of a horse that has a wild streak;

We must draw in the reins and keep the animal under subjection if we stand a chance of reaching our destination;

We must control our passions if we want to be a seeker of the truth;

Self control is essential if we want to be capable of knowing God.
