Because our bodies are always with us, we come to believe that we are, in fact, our bodies. But this is not true. The real self is a spirit that lives inside our body. Since we spend so much time inside our bodies, we are aware that our bodies always want something. From the time we get up in the mornings our bodies begin to tell us what it wants, and we try to fulfill those desires. Our bodies seem to continue to lead us on a wild goose chase. We need to put an end to letting our wants drive our lives. This brings about fear of failure and self-absorption. Being fixated on our own happiness shrinks the mind. We need to concentrate on what is enough and what it takes for our wellbeing. It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or poor, the determining factor of success and happiness is contentment. And you have the ability to be content with what you have.
