Those who know that God lives within our souls are quiet and humble. They do not care about what other people think. When you are concerned about what others think, then you are always trying to appear better than you really are. God knows all of us intimately. You cannot pretend. You actually must do and be a better person to please the Creator. The wise do not become upset when people form wrong judgments about them, but are only troubled when they are unable to do the good things they want to do.
